Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This is the privacy policy of f5 Group Ltd (Registration No. 01010914), a company incorporated in the Ras Al Khaimah Digital Assets Oasis, United Arab Emirates (hereinafter referred to as "f5 Group", "us", "our", or "we"). This Privacy Policy sets out how f5 Group Ltd will manage your personal information which we collect as a result of your membership, registration and/or subscription, your use of our websites and any pages, goods, services and/or applications (hereinafter referred to as the "Platforms"):

  • (a) under the 'f5 Group' brand including any mobile phone or tablet applications that are owned and/or operated by us or whenever we otherwise deal with you; and/or

  • (b) that link to this policy or which do not have a separate privacy policy.

We are committed to ensuring that the personal information we collect about you is protected and is used, stored and disclosed in accordance with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data ("UAE Data Protection Law"), the regulations of the Ras Al Khaimah Digital Assets Oasis, and this Privacy Policy.

2. Website Use

In using the Platforms, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy. We may review the Privacy Policy periodically and reserve the right to change the Privacy Policy at any time at our discretion by posting such changes on the website.

Changes will be effective immediately when posted on the website. Your continued use of the website following posting will constitute your acceptance of those changes. This Privacy Policy will not apply to websites which are linked to the website and over which we have no control.

3. Personal Information We Collect

In order to provide you services, you will need to create a user account. When creating this user account, the kinds of personal information that we may collect from you include but are not limited to the following:

  • (a) Name;

  • (b) Email Address;

  • (c) Phone Number;

  • (d) Payment and Deposit Particulars and Information;

  • (e) Date of Birth;

  • (f) Country of Citizenship and Residency;

  • (k) Information about the transactions you make, including your activity on our Platforms;

  • (l) Personal data through surveys which we, or companies engaged by us for such purpose, undertake;

  • (n) Digital asset wallet addresses;

  • (o) Government-issued identification documents for KYC purposes; and/or

  • (p) Such other information necessary through methods including data input during the account registration processes and communications with you.

We also use "cookies" and similar technologies which may collect certain information about you, such as your devices' IP addresses and online activity, some of which will constitute your personal data. You can learn more about the cookies we use in Section 9 below.

4. Purposes of Collection

We will collect your Personal Information only by lawful and fair means and not in an intrusive way to operate our business for, amongst others, the following purposes:

  • (a) For know-your-customer (KYC) identity verification in compliance with UAE Anti-Money Laundering regulations;
  • (b) If you wish to subscribe to f5 Group Ltd's marketing communications;

  • (c) To process, set up and administer your application to become a Member of f5 Group Ltd as well as your user account thereof;

  • (d) To provide and improve services to you as a Member;

  • (e) To identify you as a Member and authenticate your identity for security purposes and to comply with our legal obligations under UAE law;

  • (f) To maintain your account;

  • (g) To upgrade and enhance your experience within the website or over the telephone, or to tailor or develop information, services, or products to suit your needs which may include market research and conducting promotions;

  • (h) To notify you with important updates and tell you about our products or services that we think may be of interest to you by communicating with you via email, SMS, or telephone;

  • (i) To create aggregate data about Members through demographic profiling and statistical analysis;

  • (j) To receive and respond to your communications, questions, comments, or requests;

  • (k) To determine Members' liability to pay taxes where applicable;

  • (l) To comply with our contractual, legal, and statutory obligations under applicable UAE laws and RAK DAO regulations;

  • (m) For taking appropriate action if we have reason to suspect that unlawful activity or misconduct of a serious nature has been, is being, or may be engaged in that relates to our functions and activities;

  • (n) To establish, exercise or defend any legal claims;

  • (o) To manage job applications;

  • (p) To identify and disclose any suspected unlawful, fraudulent, or other improper activity connected with our platforms and services (including money laundering);

  • (q) To identify any fraudulent use of our services or breach of our terms of use;

  • (r) To carry out market research campaigns and send out surveys;

  • (s) To prepare statistics relating to the use of our platforms and services;

  • (t) To record communications with our customer services representatives for training, security, and regulatory purposes;

  • (u) To share your personal data with our professional advisors, such as lawyers and consultants;

  • (v) To share your personal information with third parties for identity and geolocation verification;

  • (w) To share your personal information with third parties for fraud and anti-money laundering detection purposes;

  • (x) To share your personal data with law enforcement agencies and UAE regulatory authorities for the prevention and detection of crime; and/or

  • (y) Any other purposes necessary for us to perform our obligations and to deliver our services to you.

If you do not provide us with the Personal Information we request, we may be unable to process your application to become a Member, provide you with our services or respond to your enquiry or complaint.

By using f5 Group Ltd or our Platform, becoming a user, Member or otherwise choosing to provide us with Personal Information, you have deemed to consent to us collecting, using, processing and potentially disclosing your Personal Information for the above purposes and on the bases described in this Privacy Policy

If you do not agree or consent to us using your Personal Information for the purposes listed above, you must stop using our services on any Platforms.

5. Direct Marketing and Opting Out

5.1 From time to time we may use your Personal Information to inform you about our products or services or about promotional activities which we believe may be of interest or of benefit to you. We may do this via email, SMS, telephone, mail or any other methods that we might use to convey the products or services to you. If you no longer wish to receive marketing or promotional material from us at all or in any particular form, you may contact us at any time by email with your request with which we will comply as soon as is practical.

5.2 From time to time we may contact you in relation to the management and administration of your f5 Group Ltd account. These communications can be via any of the modes of contact recorded when registering as a user or Member. Such communication does not affect your opt-in or opt-out status for direct marketing communications.

5.3 If you have signed up to services offered by us, we may send you direct marketing in relation to other services offered by us or our group provided that you have given your consent to receive such marketing. In this regard, reference to the group within this Privacy Policy means f5 Group Ltd and all or any of its direct or indirect subsidiary undertakings, joint venture partners, and their related companies wherever located in the world as may exist from time to time.

5.4 At any time you can manage your marketing consents via your account. You can also unsubscribe by using the tools in any marketing communication you receive. Please note that if you unsubscribe from marketing it may take up to five working days for this to take effect.

5.5 We may also use information you provide to us to show you relevant advertising and personalized content about our group's services on certain third-party social media platforms. If you do not wish to see these advertisements, you can change your settings on the social media platforms or contact us directly.

6. Management of Your Personal Information

6.1 We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the Personal Information which we collect, use or disclose is correct and is stored in a secure environment which is accessed only by authorised persons. We store the personal information we receive as described in this Privacy Policy for as long as you use our Services or as necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which it was collected, provide our Services, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, enforce our agreements, and comply with applicable UAE laws.

6.2 We will destroy or permanently de-identify the Personal Information we hold when it is no longer required for any purpose permitted under the UAE Data Protection Law including our legal or operational obligations.

7. Security of Personal Information

7.1 You acknowledge that no data transmission over the Internet is totally secure. Accordingly, we do not guarantee or warrant the security of any information which you transmit to us. Any information which you transmit to us is transmitted at your own risk.

7.2 However, once we receive your transmission, we will take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information from misuse, loss, and unauthorized access, modification, and disclosure including by using password-protected systems and databases and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. By using our Services or providing personal information to us, you agree that we may communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of the Services.

7.3 Our employees, agents, and contractors are required to maintain the confidentiality of Members' Personal Information and user behavior. Information posted on bulletin boards or communicated within a social media environment becomes public information. We cannot guarantee the security of this type of disclosed information.

7.4 We take seriously the responsibility to exclude children (individuals under 18 years of age) from access to our services. We will not accept their information for the purposes of opening an account. It is, however, ultimately the responsibility of parents or guardians to monitor their children's Internet activities including where appropriate by using Internet screening software.

7.5 Remember to always log out of your account when you have completed your time on the website. This is particularly important if you share a computer with another person.
